Today, we will learn about different animals and the sounds they make. Animals are all around us, and each one has a unique sound. For example, a dog barks, a cat meows, and a cow moos. Let's look at some pictures of animals and listen to their sounds. This will help us remember which sound belongs to which animal.
I will show you a picture of a lion. What sound does a lion make? Yes, it roars! Now, let’s listen to the sound of a lion. (Play the sound). Great! Now, let’s try another one. Here is a picture of a sheep. What sound does a sheep make? That’s right, it bleats! Let’s listen to that sound as well.
Now, I will give you some animal cards and sound cards. Your task is to match the animal with the correct sound. For example, if you have a card with a cat, you should find the card that says 'meow'. Let’s do this together first. I will hold up an animal card, and you will help me find the matching sound card.
For our independent practice, I want you to draw your favorite animal and write down the sound it makes. Once you finish your drawing, you can share it with the class. Remember to say the animal's name and the sound it makes when you show your drawing. This will help us learn from each other!
