Let's look at some pictures of animals. I will show you a picture of a lion. What sound does a lion make? That's right! A lion roars. Now, let's look at a picture of a duck. What sound does a duck make? Yes, it quacks! By associating the animal with its sound, we can remember them better.
Now, we will play a game! I will say the name of an animal, and you will make the sound that animal makes. For example, if I say 'sheep,' you will say 'baa.' Let's try it together! I will say 'frog'... What sound does a frog make? Great job! Keep practicing with your friends.
For our independent practice, I want you to draw your favorite animal and write down the sound it makes. Use your crayons to make your drawing colorful! Once you finish, you can share your drawing with the class and tell us what sound your animal makes.
