Today, we will learn about different animals and the sounds they make. Animals are all around us, and each one has a unique sound. For example, a dog barks, a cat meows, and a cow moos. Let's think about some of our favorite animals and the sounds they make. Can anyone tell me what sound a lion makes? That's right, a lion roars!

Let's look at some pictures of animals. I will show you a picture of a dog, and I want you to tell me what sound it makes. (Show a picture of a dog.) Yes, it barks! Now, let’s try another one. Here is a picture of a sheep. What sound does a sheep make? Correct, it bleats! This activity helps us remember the sounds animals make.

Now, we will play a game! I will make an animal sound, and you will guess which animal it is. (Make the sound of a cow.) What animal am I? Yes, a cow! Great job! Let’s try another one. (Make the sound of a cat.) Who can tell me what animal that is? Fantastic, it’s a cat! This game will help us learn and remember the sounds better.

For our independent practice, you will create your own animal sound book. Take a piece of paper and draw your favorite animal on one side. On the other side, write the sound that animal makes. For example, if you draw a dog, you will write 'bark' next to it. Once you finish, we will share our books with the class!
