Today, we will learn about different animals and the sounds they make. Animals are all around us, and each one has a unique sound. For example, a dog barks, a cat meows, and a cow moos. Let’s think about some of our favorite animals and what sounds they make. Can anyone tell me what sound a lion makes? That’s right, it roars!

Let’s play a game! I will show you pictures of different animals, and you will tell me what sound each animal makes. For instance, when I show you a picture of a sheep, you should say 'baa.' This will help us remember the sounds and names of the animals. Let’s practice with a few examples together before we move on to the next activity.

Now, I will give you a worksheet with pictures of animals on one side and their sounds on the other. Your task is to draw a line connecting the animal to the correct sound. For example, connect the picture of the cat to 'meow.' I will walk around to help you if you need it. Let’s work together and see how many we can get right!

For your independent practice, you will create a mini animal sound book. You can draw your favorite animal on each page and write the sound it makes. For example, on one page, you might draw a dog and write 'bark.' Once you finish, you can share your book with a friend and read it together.
