Today, we will learn about different animals and the sounds they make. Animals are all around us, and each one has a unique sound. For example, a dog barks, a cat meows, and a cow moos. Let’s think about some of our favorite animals and what sounds they make!

Let’s look at some pictures of animals. I will show you a picture of a lion. What sound does a lion make? That’s right, a lion roars! Now, let’s look at a picture of a duck. What sound does a duck make? Yes, it quacks! By associating the animal with its sound, we can remember them better.

Now, let’s play a game! I will make an animal sound, and you have to guess which animal it is. For example, if I say 'moo,' you should shout out 'cow!' Let’s try a few more sounds together. This will help us learn and remember the different animals and their sounds.

For our independent practice, I want you to draw your favorite animal and write down the sound it makes. You can use crayons or markers to make your drawing colorful. Once you finish, you will share your drawing with the class and tell us what sound your animal makes. This will help you practice speaking and sharing your ideas.
