Today, we will learn about different animals and the sounds they make. Animals are all around us, and each one has a unique sound. For example, a dog barks, a cat meows, and a cow moos. Let's think about some of our favorite animals and what sounds they make!
Let's look at some pictures of animals. I will show you a picture of a lion. What sound does a lion make? Yes, it roars! Now, here’s a picture of a sheep. What sound does a sheep make? That's right, it bleats! By associating the animal with its sound, we can remember them better.
Now, let’s play a game! I will make the sound of an animal, and you have to guess which animal it is. For example, if I say 'quack, quack,' you should shout out 'duck!' After we finish, we can draw our favorite animal and write down the sound it makes.
For your independent practice, I have a worksheet with pictures of different animals and their sounds. Your task is to match the animal to the correct sound. You can color the pictures once you finish. Remember to say the sounds out loud as you match them!
