Today, we will learn about different animals and the sounds they make. Animals are all around us, and each one has a unique sound. For example, a dog barks, a cat meows, and a cow moos. Let's think about some of our favorite animals and what sounds they make. Can anyone tell me what sound a lion makes? That's right, it roars!

Let's look at some pictures of animals. I will show you a picture of a dog. What sound does a dog make? (Pause for responses) Yes, it barks! Now, let's try another one. Here is a picture of a duck. What sound does a duck make? (Encourage responses) Correct, it quacks! This activity helps us connect the animal with its sound.

Now, we will play a sound matching game. I will play a sound, and you will guess which animal it belongs to. For example, if I play a sound that goes 'moo', you will raise your hand if you think it’s a cow. Let’s try it! (Play various animal sounds and encourage students to respond.) Great job! You are all excellent listeners!

For our independent practice, I want you to draw your favorite animal and write down the sound it makes. Use your crayons and be creative!
