Today, we will learn about different animals and the sounds they make. Animals are all around us, and each one has a unique sound. For example, a cow says 'moo', a dog says 'bark', and a cat says 'meow'. Let's think about some of our favorite animals and what sounds they make!
I will show you pictures of different animals. When I show you a picture of a lion, I want you to roar like a lion! If I show you a picture of a duck, you can quack like a duck. Let's practice together! (Show pictures of a cow, dog, cat, lion, and duck, encouraging students to mimic the sounds.)
Now, I will give you a worksheet with pictures of animals on one side and their sounds on the other. Your task is to draw a line connecting each animal to the sound it makes. For example, connect the cow to 'moo'. I will walk around to help you if you need it!
For your independent practice, you will create your own mini animal sound book. On each page, draw a picture of your favorite animal and write the sound it makes. You can use crayons or markers to make it colorful. Once you finish, we will share our books with the class!
