Now, we will play a sound matching game. I will say a sound, and you will find an object in the classroom that starts with that sound. For example, if I say /m/, you might point to a 'mat' or 'mouse.' This will help us connect sounds with words in our environment.

For your independent practice, you will create a sound book. On each page, draw a picture of an object that starts with a specific letter sound. For example, for the letter 'A,' you could draw an apple. Label each drawing with the letter and the word. This will help you remember the sounds and words we learned today!
