Today, we will learn about different animals and the unique sounds they make. Animals can be found in our homes, on farms, and in the wild. Some common animals include cats, dogs, cows, and birds. Each of these animals has a special sound that helps us identify them. For example, a cat says 'meow,' a dog says 'bark,' and a cow says 'moo.' Let's listen to some animal sounds together!

Let's play a matching game! I will say an animal's name, and you will tell me the sound it makes. For instance, if I say 'sheep,' you should respond with 'baa.' Now, let's try with 'duck.' What sound does a duck make? Yes, 'quack!' Great job! This helps us remember the sounds animals make.

Now, we will play a fun game of charades! I will choose an animal, and you will act out the animal while making its sound. For example, if I choose a lion, you will roar and pretend to be a lion. The rest of the class will guess which animal you are. This activity will help us learn through movement and sound!

For our independent practice, I want you to think about your favorite animal. Draw a picture of it and write down the sound it makes. You can use crayons or markers to make your drawing colorful. Once you finish, we will share our drawings with the class and talk about the sounds our animals make.
