Today, we will learn about rhymes! Rhymes are words that sound the same at the end. For example, 'cat' and 'hat' rhyme because they both end with the 'at' sound. We will listen to some fun rhymes and try to find more words that rhyme with them.

Let's look at some examples together. If I say 'dog', can anyone think of a word that rhymes with it? Yes, 'frog'! Now, let's try another one. How about 'sun'? Great job! 'Run' rhymes with 'sun'. We can make a list of rhyming words on the board.

Now, let's play a rhyming game! I will say a word, and you will clap your hands if you can think of a word that rhymes with it. For example, if I say 'tree', you might clap for 'bee' or 'free'. Let's see how many rhymes we can come up with together!

For our independent practice, you will create a rhyming word art. Choose a word from our list and draw a picture of it. Then, write down at least two words that rhyme with it. You can use colors and decorations to make your art beautiful. When you finish, we will share our art with the class!
