Today, we will learn about rhymes! Rhymes are words that sound the same at the end, like 'cat' and 'hat'. We will listen to some fun rhymes and try to find more words that rhyme. Rhyming helps us with our reading and makes stories more fun!

Let's look at some examples together. I will say a word, and you will help me find a word that rhymes with it. For instance, if I say 'dog', you might say 'frog'. Let's try a few more: 'sun' and 'fun', 'tree' and 'bee'. Can you think of any other rhyming pairs?

Now, we will play a rhyming game! I will say a word, and you will clap your hands if you can think of a word that rhymes with it. For example, if I say 'ball', clap if you can think of 'call' or 'mall'. Let's do this together and see how many rhymes we can find!

It's your turn to be creative! Take a piece of paper and write down three words. Then, think of at least one word that rhymes with each of your words. You can draw pictures to go with your words too! Once you are done, we will share our rhymes with the class.
