Now, we will play a game of charades. I will show you a picture of an animal, and you will act it out without speaking. The rest of the class will guess the animal in isiNdebele. For example, if you act like a cat, the class should say 'ikati'. This will help us remember the names and characteristics of the animals.

For your independent work, draw your favorite animal and write a sentence about it in isiNdebele. You can say something like, 'Le ikati iyamhlophe' which means 'This cat is white.' Share your drawing and sentence with a partner to practice speaking.
