Today, we will learn about the people who help us in our community. These are called community helpers. Examples include teachers, doctors, and police officers. We will learn their names in isiNdebele and talk about what they do to help us every day.

Let’s look at some pictures of community helpers. For example, when we see a picture of a teacher, we say 'umfundisi' in isiNdebele. The teacher helps us learn new things. Can anyone tell me what a doctor does? Yes, a doctor, or 'udokotela', helps us when we are sick.

Now, let’s work together! I will divide you into small groups. Each group will choose a community helper to act out. Use isiNdebele to introduce your helper and explain what they do. For example, 'Nansi umfundisi, ufundisa abafundi.' (Here is the teacher, they teach the students.)

On your own, draw a picture of your favorite community helper. Below your drawing, write a sentence in isiNdebele describing what they do. For example, if you draw a firefighter, you could write 'Umlilo uvikela abantu.' (The firefighter protects people.)
