This is an 'ikati'. What sound does an 'ikati' make? Correct, it meows! We will do this for each animal, discussing their sounds and actions.

Now, we will play a game! I will make the sound of an animal, and you have to guess which animal it is in isiXhosa. For example, if I say 'meow', you should respond with 'ikati'. Let’s practice together! I will start with a few sounds, and you can raise your hands to answer. This will help us remember the names of the animals.

For our independent practice, I want you to draw your favorite animal and write its name in isiXhosa below the picture. After you finish, we will have a sharing session where you can show your drawings to the class and say the name of your animal in isiXhosa. This will help reinforce what we learned today.
