Today, we will learn about different animals in isiXhosa. We will look at animals like 'inja' (dog), 'ikati' (cat), 'ibhubesi' (lion), 'ingcuka' (wolf), and 'ihagu' (pig). Each animal has its own unique sound and habitat. For example, the dog says 'bark' and lives in our homes, while the lion roams in the wild.

Let’s practice saying the names of the animals together. When I say 'inja', you say 'dog'. Now, let’s try the sounds: When I say 'ibhubesi', you will roar like a lion! This helps us remember the animals and their sounds. Repeat after me: 'ikati' (cat) says 'meow'.

I will show you pictures of different animals, and you will tell me their names in isiXhosa. For example, if I show you a picture of a pig, you will say 'ihagu'. After that, we will play a matching game where you match the animal to its sound. Let’s see how many you can get right together!
