Each animal has its own unique sound and characteristics that make it special.
Let's look at the animal 'inja' (dog). In isiXhosa, we say that a dog barks, which is 'ukukhala'. Similarly, for 'ikati' (cat), we say it 'yowl' or 'ukukhala' as well. We can practice these sounds together. For example, when I say 'inja', you can bark like a dog, and when I say 'ikati', you can make a cat sound.
I will show you pictures of different animals, and you will help me name them in isiXhosa. After naming the animal, we will discuss what sound it makes. For instance, if I show you a picture of a 'ibhubesi' (lion), you will say 'ibhubesi' and then we will roar together like a lion. This will help you remember the names and sounds of the animals.
