Today, we will learn about different animals and the sounds they make in isiZulu. Animals are an important part of our world, and knowing their names helps us understand them better. We will look at pictures of animals and learn how to say their names in isiZulu. For example, a dog is called 'inja' and it barks, which we say is 'bhuu bhuu'.

Let’s look at some examples together. The cow is called 'inkomo' in isiZulu, and it makes a sound that we describe as 'muuu'. The cat is 'ikati', and it says 'meow' or 'mew'. We will practice saying these words together, focusing on the correct pronunciation and the sounds.

Now, let’s work in groups. Each group will receive a set of animal pictures. You will take turns to pick a picture, say the animal's name in isiZulu, and make the sound it makes. For example, if you pick a picture of a lion ('ingwe'), you will roar like a lion. This will help us remember the names and sounds of the animals.

For your independent practice, you will draw your favorite animal and write its name in isiZulu underneath. Then, write down the sound it makes. You can use the examples we discussed in class. Once you finish, we will share our drawings with the class and talk about our animals.
