Emotions are feelings that everyone experiences. They can be happy, sad, angry, or scared. It's important to understand our emotions and the emotions of others. Today, we will learn about different emotions and how they can affect our behavior and interactions with friends.
Let's look at some pictures of faces showing different emotions. For example, when someone smiles, they might be happy. When someone frowns, they might be sad. We can practice naming these emotions together. Can anyone tell me what emotion this face shows? (Show a picture of a happy face.)
Now, we will play a game called Emotion Charades. I will show you a card with an emotion on it, and you will act it out without using words. The rest of the class will guess the emotion. This will help us learn to express our feelings through actions and understand how others might feel.
For our independent activity, each of you will draw a picture of a time when you felt a strong emotion, like happiness or sadness. After you finish your drawing, share it with a partner and explain what emotion you felt and why. This will help you practice expressing your feelings and listening to others.
