Emotions are feelings that we experience every day. They can be happy, sad, angry, scared, or excited. Understanding our emotions helps us communicate better with others and express how we feel. Today, we will learn about different emotions and how to recognize them in ourselves and our friends.
Let's look at some pictures of faces showing different emotions. For example, a smiling face shows happiness, while a frowning face shows sadness. As we look at each picture, I will ask you how the person might be feeling and why you think so. This will help us learn to identify emotions in ourselves and others.
Now, we will play a game called Emotion Charades. I will show you a card with an emotion on it, and you will act it out without using words. Your classmates will guess what emotion you are showing. This activity will help us practice expressing our feelings through body language and facial expressions.
For our independent practice, you will draw a picture of yourself showing an emotion. You can choose to draw yourself happy, sad, angry, or scared. After you finish your drawing, write a sentence about why you feel that way. This will help you express your feelings creatively.
