Emotions are feelings that we experience every day. They can be happy, sad, angry, or scared. It's important to recognize our emotions and understand that everyone feels differently. Today, we will talk about some common emotions and how they can make us feel inside.
Let's look at some pictures of children showing different emotions. For example, when a child is smiling, they might be feeling happy. When a child has tears in their eyes, they might be feeling sad. We can learn to recognize these emotions by looking at facial expressions and body language.
Now, let's practice expressing our feelings. I will say an emotion, and you will show me how you would feel. For example, if I say 'happy', you can smile and jump up and down. If I say 'angry', you can frown and cross your arms. This helps us learn how to show our feelings in a way that others can understand.
For our independent practice, you will draw a picture of yourself showing an emotion. Choose one emotion from our discussion today, like happy, sad, or scared. After you finish your drawing, we will share them with the class and talk about why we chose that emotion.
