Emotions are feelings that we experience in different situations. They can be happy, sad, angry, or scared. Understanding our emotions helps us communicate better with others and understand how they feel too. Today, we will learn about some common emotions and how to express them.
Let's look at some pictures of children showing different emotions. For example, when a child smiles and jumps, they are feeling happy. When a child has tears in their eyes, they might be sad. We can also feel angry when things donβt go our way. By looking at facial expressions and body language, we can learn to identify how others are feeling.
In pairs, one student will act out an emotion without using words, while the other guesses what emotion it is. For example, if a student pretends to cry, their partner should guess 'sadness'. This activity helps us recognize emotions through actions and expressions.
Students will draw a picture of themselves showing a specific emotion. They can choose from happiness, sadness, anger, or fear. After drawing, each student will share their picture with the class and explain why they chose that emotion. This will help reinforce their understanding of emotions and encourage sharing feelings.
