Emotions are feelings that we experience in different situations. They can be happy, sad, angry, or scared. Today, we will learn about some common emotions and how they make us feel. For example, when we are happy, we might smile and laugh, while when we are sad, we might cry or feel quiet.
Let's look at some pictures of children showing different emotions. In one picture, a child is smiling and jumping; this shows happiness. In another picture, a child has tears in their eyes; this shows sadness. By looking at their faces and body language, we can understand how they feel.
Now, we will play a game called Emotion Charades. I will show you a card with an emotion written on it, and you will act it out without speaking. The rest of the class will guess the emotion. This will help us learn how to express our feelings through actions and understand how others might feel.
For our independent practice, I want you to draw a picture of a time when you felt a strong emotion. It could be a time when you were happy, sad, or even angry. After you finish your drawing, we will share our pictures with the class and talk about how we felt during those moments.
