Emotions are feelings that we experience in different situations. They can be happy, sad, angry, or scared. Today, we will learn about some common emotions and how they can affect our behavior. For example, when we feel happy, we might smile and laugh, while feeling sad might make us want to cry or be alone.
Let's look at some pictures of children showing different emotions. For instance, in one picture, a child is smiling with bright eyes, which shows happiness. In another picture, a child has tears in their eyes, indicating sadness. By observing facial expressions and body language, we can learn to identify how others are feeling.
Now, we will play a game called Emotion Charades. I will show you a card with an emotion written on it, and you will act it out without using words. The rest of the class will guess which emotion you are portraying. This will help us practice recognizing emotions in ourselves and others.
For our independent activity, I want you to draw a picture of yourself showing an emotion. You can choose to draw yourself happy, sad, angry, or scared. After you finish your drawing, write a sentence about why you feel that way. This will help you express your feelings creatively.
