Emotions are feelings that we experience every day. They can be happy, sad, angry, or scared. Understanding our emotions helps us communicate better with others. Today, we will learn about different types of emotions and how they can affect our behavior.
Let's look at some pictures of children showing different emotions. For example, in one picture, a child is smiling and jumping; this shows happiness. In another picture, a child has tears and a frown, which indicates sadness. By observing facial expressions and body language, we can learn to identify how others are feeling.
Now, we will play a game called Emotion Charades. I will show you a card with an emotion on it, and you will act it out without speaking. The rest of the class will guess the emotion. This activity will help us understand how to express our feelings through actions.
For our independent practice, you will draw a picture of yourself showing an emotion. Think about a time when you felt happy, sad, or angry. Use colors and facial expressions in your drawing to show that emotion. After you finish, we will share our drawings with the class.
