Emotions are feelings that we experience in response to different situations. They can be happy, sad, angry, or scared. Understanding our emotions helps us communicate better with others and understand how they feel too. Today, we will learn about some common emotions and how to express them.
Let's look at some pictures of faces showing different emotions. For example, a smiling face shows happiness, while a frowning face shows sadness. As we look at each picture, I will ask you to tell me what emotion you see and how you think that person might be feeling. This helps us learn to recognize emotions in ourselves and others.
Now, we will play a game called Emotion Charades. I will give you a card with an emotion written on it. You will act out that emotion without using words, and your classmates will guess what it is. This activity will help us practice expressing our feelings through actions and understand how others might feel.
For our independent practice, you will draw a picture of a time when you felt a strong emotion. It could be a time you were happy, sad, or even scared. After you finish your drawing, you will share it with a partner and explain what emotion you felt and why. This will help you express your feelings and understand your emotions better.
