Emotions are feelings that we experience in response to different situations. They can be happy, sad, angry, scared, or excited. It's important to recognize our emotions and understand that everyone feels differently. Today, we will learn about some common emotions and how they can affect our behavior.
Let's look at some pictures of children showing different emotions. For example, in one picture, a child is smiling and jumping; this shows happiness. In another picture, a child has tears in their eyes and looks down; this shows sadness. By observing their facial expressions and body language, we can learn to identify how they feel.
Now, we will play a game called Emotion Charades. I will show you a card with an emotion written on it, and you will act it out without speaking. The rest of the class will guess the emotion. This will help us practice recognizing emotions in ourselves and others. Remember to use your face and body to show how you feel!
For our independent practice, you will draw a picture of yourself showing an emotion. Think about a time when you felt that way. Write a sentence about what made you feel that emotion. Once you finish, we will share our drawings with the class. This will help us express our feelings creatively.
