Emotions are feelings that we experience every day. They can be happy, sad, angry, or scared. It's important to understand our emotions because they help us communicate how we feel. Today, we will learn about different emotions and how to express them.
Let's look at some pictures of faces showing different emotions. For example, this face shows happiness with a big smile, while this one shows sadness with tears. Can you tell me what emotion you see? This helps us learn to recognize how we and others might be feeling.
Now, we will play a game called Emotion Charades. I will show you a card with an emotion on it, and you will act it out without using words. The rest of the class will guess what emotion you are showing. This will help us practice expressing our feelings through actions.
For our independent practice, you will draw a picture of a time when you felt a strong emotion. It could be a time you were happy, sad, or even scared. After you finish your drawing, you will share it with a partner and explain how you felt during that time.
