Emotions are feelings that we experience in different situations. They can be happy, sad, angry, scared, or excited. It is important to understand our emotions so we can express them in a healthy way. Today, we will learn about some common emotions and how they make us feel.
Let's look at some pictures of faces showing different emotions. For example, when we see a smiling face, we can say that the person is happy. If we see a frowning face with tears, we can say that the person is sad. By looking at these faces, we can learn to identify how others might be feeling.
Now, let's practice expressing our feelings. I will say an emotion, and you will show me how you would express it with your face and body. For example, if I say 'happy,' you can smile and jump up and down. If I say 'angry,' you can frown and cross your arms. This helps us learn how to show our feelings without using words.
For our independent activity, you will create an emotion wheel. Draw a big circle and divide it into sections for different emotions like happy, sad, angry, and scared. In each section, draw a face that shows that emotion. You can also use colors to represent how each emotion feels. Once you finish, we will share our wheels with the class.
