Emotions are feelings that we experience in response to different situations. They can be happy, sad, angry, scared, or excited. It is important to understand our emotions because they help us communicate how we feel to others. Today, we will learn about different emotions and how to express them in a healthy way.
Let's look at some pictures of children showing different emotions. For example, in one picture, a child is smiling and jumping; this shows happiness. In another picture, a child has tears in their eyes and looks down; this shows sadness. By looking at facial expressions and body language, we can learn to identify how others are feeling.
In groups, we will play a game of charades where one student will act out an emotion without using words, while the others guess what emotion it is. This will help us practice recognizing emotions through actions and expressions. After guessing, we will discuss how that emotion might feel and appropriate ways to express it.
Now, each student will draw a picture of themselves showing a specific emotion. They can choose from happy, sad, angry, or scared. After they finish their drawings, they will share with a partner what emotion they drew and explain a time when they felt that way. This activity encourages self-expression and sharing feelings with others.
