Today, we will learn about numbers from 1 to 10. Numbers are important because they help us count and understand how many things we have. We will look at each number, say it out loud, and learn how to write it. Let’s start by counting together from 1 to 10!

Let’s count some objects together. I have 3 apples on the table. Can anyone tell me how many apples there are? That’s right! There are 3 apples. Now, let’s count them together: 1, 2, 3. Great job! Now, I will add 2 more apples. How many apples do we have now? Let’s count again: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. We have 5 apples!

Now, we will play a matching game. I will show you a number card, and you will find the same number of objects from the box. For example, if I show you the number 4, you will find 4 blocks. Let’s do this together! I will show you the number 2. Can you find 2 blocks? Let’s count them together to make sure!

For your independent practice, I want you to take the coloring sheets with numbers from 1 to 10. Please color each number and draw that many objects next to it. For example, next to the number 3, you can draw 3 stars. Take your time and remember to count as you draw!
