Today, we will focus on counting from 1 to 20. We will use our fingers, count objects in the classroom, and sing counting songs. It is important for students to recognize numbers as they count. We will display numbers 1 to 20 on the board and encourage students to point to each number as they count aloud.

Let's create a pattern using colored blocks. I will start with a red block, followed by a blue block, and then another red block. The pattern is red, blue, red. Now, I will ask the students to continue the pattern. They can use their own blocks to create similar patterns, such as circle, square, circle, or yellow, green, yellow.

In this activity, we will use two baskets filled with different objects. One basket has 5 apples, and the other has 3 oranges. I will ask the students to compare the two baskets. Which basket has more? Which has less? We will count the objects together, reinforcing the concepts of more and less as we discuss the quantities.

Now it's time for you to practice on your own! Each student will receive a set of colored beads. They will create their own patterns using at least three colors. After creating their patterns, they will count how many beads they used in total and write the number down. This will help reinforce both counting and pattern recognition skills.
