Kindness is when we treat others with care and respect. It means being helpful and friendly. In many religions, kindness is an important value. Today, we will learn how different religions teach us to be kind to one another.
In Christianity, we learn to love our neighbors and help those in need. In Islam, kindness is shown through charity and helping others. Buddhism teaches us to be compassionate and to treat all living beings with respect. Each religion has its own way of showing kindness, but the message is the same: we should care for one another.
Let’s think about some kind actions we can do. For example, helping a friend who has fallen down, sharing our toys, or saying nice things to others. These actions show kindness. Can you think of a time when you were kind to someone? What did you do?
Now, let’s practice being kind through role-play. I will divide you into small groups. Each group will receive a scenario where someone needs help. You will act out how you can show kindness in that situation. After each group performs, we will discuss how they showed kindness.
For your independent practice, I want you to draw a picture of a kind action you can do. It could be helping a friend, sharing, or comforting someone. After you finish your drawing, you will share it with the class and explain why your action is kind.
