Today, we will learn about different animals and the sounds they make. Animals are all around us, and each one has a special name in Sepedi. For example, a dog is called 'ntja' and it says 'bark'. Let's listen to the sounds of some animals and learn their names together!
Let's look at some examples. When I say 'ntja', you say 'bark'. When I say 'kat', you say 'meow'. Now, let's try with 'kgomo' which means 'cow', and it says 'moo'. Repeat after me and make the sounds together!
Now, we will play a matching game! I will show you pictures of animals, and you will tell me their names in Sepedi and the sounds they make. For example, if I show you a picture of a chicken, you will say 'kuku' and make the sound 'cluck'. Let's see how many animals we can name together!
For your independent activity, I want you to draw your favorite animal and write its name in Sepedi. Next to your drawing, write the sound it makes. You can use colors to make your drawing bright and fun. Once you finish, we will share our drawings with the class!
