Today, we will learn about different animals and the sounds they make. Animals are all around us, and each one has a special name in Sesotho. For example, a dog is called 'ntja' and it barks. Let's listen to the sounds these animals make and learn their names together!

Let's look at some examples of animals. The cow is called 'khohlo' and it moos. The cat is 'katse' and it meows. The sheep is 'khohlo' and it bleats. We will practice saying these names and mimicking the sounds they make. Repeat after me: 'ntja' (dog), 'khohlo' (cow), 'katse' (cat), 'khohlo' (sheep).

Now, let's play a game! I will make the sound of an animal, and you will guess which animal it is. For example, if I say 'woof woof', you should respond with 'ntja' (dog). Let's see how many animals you can guess correctly! Remember to raise your hand before answering.

For your independent practice, I want you to draw your favorite animal. Once you finish your drawing, write its name in Sesotho next to it.
