Today, we will learn about different animals and the sounds they make. Animals are all around us, and each one has a unique sound. For example, a dog says 'bofelo' and a cat says 'mew'. Let's discover more animals and their sounds together!
Let's look at some animals. When I say 'ntja', what animal am I talking about? Yes, it's a dog! And what sound does a dog make? That's right, 'bofelo'. Now, if I say 'kat', what animal is that? Correct, it's a cat, and it says 'mew'.
Now, I will show you pictures of different animals. When you see the picture, shout out the name of the animal in Sesotho and the sound it makes. For example, if I show you a picture of a cow, you will say 'khohlo' and then 'moo'. Let's practice together!
Take out your drawing paper and crayons. I want you to draw your favorite animal and write its name in Sesotho. Below the drawing, write the sound it makes. Once you finish, we will share our drawings with the class.
