Today, we will learn about different animals in Sesotho. Animals are living creatures that can be found in our homes, farms, and in the wild. We will focus on some common animals like 'ntja' (dog), 'katse' (cat), 'khohlo' (sheep), 'phele' (fish), and 'konyana' (rabbit). Let's start by repeating their names together.

Let's take the animal 'katse' (cat) as an example. We can say, 'Katse e na le mebala e metle' which means 'The cat has beautiful colors.' We can also describe its sound by saying, 'Katse e a meow' which means 'The cat says meow.' Now, let's think of other animals and how we can describe them.

In groups, each learner will take turns acting out an animal without speaking, while the others guess which animal it is in Sesotho. For example, if a learner acts like a 'ntja' (dog), the others should guess 'ntja'. This activity will help us remember the names and sounds of the animals we learned.

Now, each learner will draw their favorite animal and write its name in Sesotho underneath the drawing. For example, if you draw a 'phele' (fish), write 'phele' below it. After finishing, we will share our drawings with the class and describe our animals using simple sentences.
