Today, we will learn about different animals in Setswana. Animals are important in our lives and culture. We will focus on names of common animals such as 'ntšhu' (cat), 'pudi' (sheep), and 'nku' (goat). I will show you pictures of these animals and we will say their names together in Setswana.

Let’s look at this picture of a 'ntšhu'. What do we call this animal in Setswana? Yes, it is 'ntšhu'. Now, let’s make the sound a cat makes. Can anyone show me how a cat moves? Great! Now, let’s do the same for 'pudi'. What sound does a sheep make? Yes, it goes 'baa'.

I will show you a series of animal pictures. For each picture, I want you to tell me the name of the animal in Setswana and make the sound it makes. For example, if I show you a picture of a 'nku', you will say 'nku' and then say 'baa'. Let’s practice together with the first three animals.
