Today, we will learn about different animals in Setswana. Animals are living beings that can be found in various environments. We will focus on common animals such as 'ntšhu' (dog), 'katse' (cat), 'nku' (sheep), 'kgetsi' (chicken), and 'naga' (lion). Each animal has its own unique sound and characteristics that make it special.

Let’s practice the sounds of the animals we learned. For example, the 'ntšhu' goes 'bark', and the 'katse' goes 'meow'. When I say 'nku', you will say 'baa'. Let’s repeat this together: ntšhu - bark, katse - meow, nku - baa, kgetsi - cluck, naga - roar. This will help us remember the animals better.

Now, we will play a matching game. I will show you pictures of the animals we learned. When I show you a picture, I want you to say the name of the animal in Setswana and make the sound it makes. For example, if I show you a picture of a 'katse', you will say 'katse' and then 'meow'. Let’s do this together!
