Today, we will learn about different places in our community, such as the school, hospital, and market. We will also talk about the people who work in these places, like teachers, doctors, and shopkeepers. Understanding these words will help us describe our surroundings better.
Let’s look at some pictures of places in our community. For example, here is a picture of a school. Can anyone tell me what happens at a school? (Wait for responses.) Yes, children learn here! Now, let’s look at a picture of a hospital. What do we do at a hospital? (Encourage answers.) Correct! We go there when we are sick.
I will show you a series of images, and I want you to match them with their functions. For instance, if I show you a picture of a market, you will say, 'We buy food at the market.' Let’s do this together for a few more places. (Show images of a library, park, and police station, guiding students to match each with its function.)
Now it’s your turn! I want you to draw your favorite place in our community. Once you finish your drawing, write one or two sentences about what happens there. For example, if you draw a park, you might write, 'I play with my friends at the park.'
