Today, we will learn about different animals in Setswana. Animals are living creatures that can be found in various places like forests, oceans, and farms. We will focus on their names, the sounds they make, and where they live. For example, a 'ntšhu' is a lion, and it roars. A 'kgetsi' is a cow, and it moos.

Let’s look at some pictures of animals. I will show you a picture of a 'ntšhu' (lion). Can anyone tell me what sound a lion makes? Yes, it roars! Now, here is a picture of a 'kgetsi' (cow). What sound does a cow make? Correct, it moos! We will repeat the names and sounds of these animals together.

Now, let’s play a game! I will make the sound of an animal, and you will guess which animal it is. For example, if I say 'roar', you should respond with 'ntšhu'. Let’s try this with different sounds. After each sound, we will say the name of the animal together in Setswana.

For your independent activity, I want you to draw your favorite animal. Once you finish your drawing, write its name in Setswana below it. You can also write where this animal lives. For example, if you draw a 'ntšhu', you can write 'ntšhu - o nna mo lešokeng' (lion - it lives in the jungle).
