Guided reading is a teaching approach where the teacher supports a small group of learners as they read a text. This week, we will read a short story together. Let's read the story 'The Lost Cat' together. As we read, I will pause and ask questions like, 'What do you think will happen next?' or 'How do you think the cat feels?' After reading, we will discuss the main ideas and details of the story to ensure everyone understands.

After reading 'The Lost Cat', I will ask you some questions. For example, 'Who is the main character?' and 'Where did the cat go?' I want you to raise your hand and share your answers. We will also talk about how the story made you feel and why.

Now it’s your turn to write! Think about the story we read. Write three sentences about what happened in 'The Lost Cat'. Remember to use capital letters at the beginning of each sentence and a full stop at the end. You can also draw a picture to go with your sentences.
