Let’s look at the sentence: 'uThandi uthanda ukudla pizza'. This sentence is missing punctuation. We can edit it to say: 'UThandi uthanda ukudla pizza.' Notice the capital letter at the beginning and the full stop at the end. This makes the sentence correct and clear.
Now, let’s work together to create sentences. I will say a sentence, and you will help me add punctuation. For example, if I say, 'Ngiyahamba', you will tell me to add a full stop at the end. Let’s try: 'UThandi uthanda imifino'. What do we need to add? Yes, a full stop! So it becomes 'UThandi uthanda imifino.'
In your exercise books, I want you to write down the following sentences and edit them by adding punctuation: 'Ngiyafunda', 'Uthanda ukudlala', 'Ngiyajabula'.
