Let’s look at some words from our story. For example, if we have the words 'tree', 'bird', and 'sun', we can create sentences like 'The tree is tall.' or 'The bird is singing in the sun.' Notice how we start with a capital letter and end with a full stop. Let’s practice writing these sentences on the board together.

Now, I will divide you into small groups. Each group will receive a picture of a scene from the park. I want you to discuss what you see and come up with three sentences describing your picture. Remember to use correct punctuation. After 10 minutes, each group will share their sentences with the class.

For your independent task, I want you to write a short paragraph about your favorite place. Use at least five new words we learned today. Make sure to use correct punctuation and spacing. When you finish, draw a picture of your favorite place to go along with your writing.
