Let’s look at the sentence: 'uThandi uyahamba'. This sentence is missing a full stop at the end. The correct sentence should be 'uThandi uyahamba.' Now, let’s add a question mark to change it to a question: 'uThandi uyahamba?' This shows we are asking if Thandi is going somewhere. Notice how punctuation changes the meaning!
In groups, let’s create sentences together. I will give you a word, and you will make a sentence using that word. Remember to think about punctuation! For example, if I say 'ibhola', you might say 'Ibhola iyadlalwa.' Make sure to add a full stop at the end. After you write your sentences, we will share them with the class and check for correct punctuation.
