Today, we will learn about creative writing. Creative writing allows us to express our thoughts and feelings in a fun way. We can write stories, poems, or even describe our favorite things. We will start by discussing what makes a good story and how we can use our imagination to create interesting characters and settings.

Let’s look at a simple story together. 'UThandiwe uthanda ukudlala emathafeni. Uthandiwe unomhlobo, uSipho. Bobabini badlala ibhola.' This story has a clear beginning, middle, and end. It introduces the characters and what they like to do. Notice how we use spaces between words and punctuation at the end of sentences.

Now, let’s create our own short story together. I will ask you questions, and you will help me answer them. What is the name of our main character? What do they like to do? Let’s write down our ideas on the board. Remember to use spaces and punctuation as we write. After we finish, we will read our story aloud as a class.

Now it’s your turn! I want each of you to write a short story about your favorite animal. Think about what your animal does and where it lives. Use at least three sentences, and remember to use correct punctuation and spacing. Once you finish writing, you can draw a picture of your animal to go along with your story.
