Reading fluency is the ability to read text smoothly and accurately. In this lesson, we will practice reading short stories in isiZulu. We will focus on how to use our voices to express different feelings and meanings in the text. For example, when reading a happy part, we can use a cheerful tone, and for sad parts, we can use a softer voice.

Let's read a short story together. The story is about a little bird that learns to fly. As we read, pay attention to how I change my voice. When the bird is excited, I will read with a lively tone. When the bird is scared, I will read softly. After reading, we will discuss how the bird felt at different times in the story.
