A goal is something we want to achieve. It can be big or small. For example, a small goal could be to read one book this week. Goals help us focus on what we want to do and give us something to work towards. Today, we will learn how to set a goal and what steps we can take to reach it.
Letβs say our goal is to finish a puzzle. First, we need to think about what steps we need to take. We can start by finding all the pieces, then sorting them by color. After that, we can start putting the edges together. Each step helps us get closer to our goal of completing the puzzle.
In groups, letβs think of a goal we can set for the week. It could be about reading, helping at home, or learning something new. Each group will share their goal with the class. Then, we will discuss what steps we can take to achieve these goals. Remember to think about how we can support each other respectfully while working towards our goals.
Now, each of you will take a moment to think about a small goal you want to set for yourself this week. Write it down on a piece of paper. Underneath your goal, list two steps you can take to achieve it. After you finish, share your goal with a partner and discuss how you can help each other.
