Social responsibility means being aware of how our actions affect others and the world around us. It involves making choices that are good for ourselves, our friends, and our community. For example, when we help a friend in need or recycle our paper, we are being socially responsible. Today, we will learn how to practice social responsibility in our daily lives.
Let's look at some scenarios. Imagine you see a classmate sitting alone during lunch. What could you do? You could invite them to join you! This is a way to show kindness and be socially responsible. Another example is when you finish your snack and throw the wrapper in the bin instead of on the ground. This helps keep our environment clean and shows respect for our surroundings.
In groups, discuss the following questions: 1) What are some ways we can help our friends? 2) How can we make healthy choices at school? After discussing, each group will share one idea with the class. This will help us learn from each other and understand different ways to be socially responsible.
Now, think about one small goal you can set for yourself to be more socially responsible. It could be helping a classmate, recycling more, or being kind to someone. Write your goal on a piece of paper and draw a picture that represents it. We will share our goals with the class at the end of the lesson.
