A career is a job that people do to earn money and help others. There are many different careers, such as doctors, teachers, and builders. Each career has its own special skills and responsibilities. Today, we will learn about some of these careers and how they help our community.
Let's look at some pictures of different careers. For example, here is a picture of a firefighter. Firefighters help keep us safe from fires. What do you think a firefighter does? (Encourage students to share their thoughts.) Now, letβs look at a teacher. Teachers help us learn new things every day. Can anyone tell me what they like to learn in school?
In pairs, choose a career to role-play. One person will act as the worker, and the other will ask questions about the job. For example, if you choose to be a doctor, the questions could be: 'What do you do?' or 'How do you help people?' After a few minutes, we will share what we learned about each career with the class.
Now that we have learned about different careers and healthy choices, it's time to think about our own goals. Write down one small goal you want to achieve this week. It could be about learning something new, helping someone, or making a healthy choice. Share your goal with a partner and discuss how you can achieve it.
